details
IMEASY employs software for
MacOS or Windows 2000 with a 3D graphic interface in OpenGL
and a PCI card with 4 SHARC processors.
The in/out connections are in ADAT optic format, which
allows you to choose the necessary converters from among the
various ADAT converters available on the market.
IMEASY's basic version provides up to sixteen audio signals
(8 from ADAT inputs and 8 from hard disk) which can freely move
in 3D space in real-time.
The system can have up 48 input channels (24 from ADAT inputs and 24 from hard disk) on 24 indipendent output channels.
The proprietary algorithm used allows for spatialisation realization
even in extreme conditions, as well as instantaneous adaptations for
new setup conditions.
For example, if one of the speakers goes out, all you need to
do is to remove it on its virtual representation and the system
will continue to spatialize with the remaining speakers.
Listeners are aware of the spatialisation from any point in any space
they may be in. This is true for movement, as well as for original
sound sources.
The management software makes possible the editing of trajectories,
playback from hard disk and even the exportation to disk of
final spatializations in a multi-track audio file format.
The system interfaces via MIDI and synchronizes in SMPTE/MTC
with any sequencer or compatible external equipment.
The plug-in architecture allows to connect pointing devices as well as controllers (eg.: 3D mouse, motion capture systems, MIDI controllers, etc.) in order to manage real-time movements for each audio source, in a 3D way.
This is simply an example to describe interactive features for this spatialisation system.
